Strandhill is a pretty seaside resort lying at the foot of Knocknarea, just a few kilometres from Sligo Town.It has many attractions including a long, sandy beach popular with families and surfers, a links golf course.
The Warriors Run held annually takes participants from the beach front in Strandhill around and then up the nearby Knocknarea, to the cairn at the top, and back again.
